Emissions of toxic materials are on the rise in Utah, but most come from a single source

The release of potentially hazardous materials, such as lead and chlorine, has increased gradually in Utah in recent years, making Utah the third-largest producer of these toxic chemicals among U.S. states and territories. However, the vast majority of Utah's emissions are tied to a single source: Kennecott.
