The defending Olympic champion in the four-man bobsled has a new sled — the "Night Train 2" — and a top crew capable of putting him atop the podium again after winning at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics to become the first American four-man champ in 62 years. The Park City native is also a threat in the two-man race. Holcomb won both disciplines at the world championships in 2012, and has won nine World Cup races overall this season. Website

Chris Fogt
The former sprint star at American Fork High School and Utah Valley University (who's also a U.S. Army veteran who served a year in Iraq) is one of the best push athletes in the world; he won the national title last year, and finished third in the world. That's how he pushed himself into the top American sled — the “Night Train 2,” driven by Steven Holcomb — after pushing the second sled at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. He could push both two-man and four-man sleds in Sochi.

Kristi Koplin
The former track and field standout at Mountain View High School and Southern Utah University is not officially an Olympian, but rather a replacement athlete in case any of the other push athletes gets sick or hurt and can't compete. She still has a fascinating background, though, as a two-time state prep champion, an SUU record-holder in three events and a U.S. Army nurse.
